Paul Coombs Sanguine Hee Hee in Michael Landy's Art Bin at South London Gallery
SANUINE HEE HEE was gracelessly dumped in to Michael Landy's Art Bin installation at the
South London Gallery on 16th Feb 2010.
German TV were there to witness my embarassment. Like a professional arse I awkwardly ambled
directly into the cameraman as he was filming me, spluttered my way through Michael Landy's
questions, then minced the microphone box out of my back pocket as I climbed the Bin's stairs.
Anus.
"What if somebody offered you the chance to exhibit this piece next to, say, Damien Hirst,
would you still throw it away?" Hmmmmm, lets think about that for a second...
I lobbed it in the bin as hard as I could & it wafted pathetically to the deck,
Landing face down in the sheer embarrassment of it all.
Then the sky split in three & thunder louder than my nerves shook the building.
Oh Fuck.
